Valpollicella Wine Tour

corvina-grapes.jpg Valpolicella is first of all a region west of Verona, in the Veneto, north east of Italy. Literally it means a “valley of many cellars” and here Romans were the first winemakers. But Valpolicella is also a wine, a blend of three grapes varieties: Corvina, a dark-berried, thick-skinned variety, is the principal grape in red Valpolicella wines. We’ll visit reknown wineries where Amarone is made and we’ll learn its method of production. You’ll also be able to know the rare Recioto and the Ripasso technique which only applies to Valpolicella wine region!
